Jenni Prior, FCAS
Chief Legacy Actuary
Jenni Prior joined Legatis in 2024 as Chief Legacy Actuary after honing her craft at premier insurance and legacy insurance companies. In addition to serving as company actuary, Jenni also leads data analytics and automation.
Prior to joining Legatis, Jenni was a Senior Vice President and Head of Legacy Analytics and Data at R&Q Insurance where she was responsible for actuarial and financial modeling for legacy liability transactions, including the Mine Safety Appliance Company LLC acquisition. Jenni is a frequently invited speaker in the legacy liability actuarial community and most recently presented for the Casualty Actuarial Society on asbestos liability forecasting.
Jenni’s 20 years of insurance industry experience includes roles at CNA as General Liability and Corporate Reserve Actuary where she designed and implemented CNA’s mass tort liability modeling program. Before joining CNA, Jenni was Assistant Vice President and Actuary at The Hartford where she led The Hartford’s $5bn reserve study, including approximately $2bn related to Asbestos and Environmental liabilities. Jenni holds credentials from the Casualty Actuarial Society and earned her Bachelor of Science from Purdue University with a double major in Actuarial Science and Statistics.
